About Firewood Quickpay

Firewood Camps Support Updated by Firewood Camps Support

1 — What Firewood QuickPay Solves:

Returning families hated typing the same camper details every season. Firewood QuickPay - a client suggestion from Wake Forest Men's Soccer eliminates that friction by auto-filling any datapoints already stored on the attendee profile, while still letting you force fresh answers for sensitive or time-critical fields (e.g., insurance info, group number, new medications). During our beta testing, the average checkout time for repeat customers dropped from 5 min 10 s to 57 s—an ~80 % speed boost - without degrading data quality.

2 — Key Benefits

Benefit

Why It Matters

80% faster registration

Higher conversion, fewer abandoned carts.

Zero sacrifice on data accuracy

Admins flag any field as “Force Re-Collection.” Customers must re-confirm or update it.

Happier repeat customers

Less typing, more loyalty.

Consistency for coaches & staff

Auto-fill pulls from the same canonical profile used across events.

3 — How QuickPay Works

  1. Profile Sync
    • Upon sign-in, the user’s existing Attendee Profiles are linked the session.
  2. Data Templates for Data Collection
    • When registration starts, Firewood looks at the event’s Data Template.
    • For every field:
      • If “Force Re-Collection” = Yes ⇒ field renders blank and is marked as Required.
      • Else ⇒ last known value auto-fills and can be edited by the registering user
  3. Data Submission & Storage
    • New or modified answers overwrite the profile and attach to that specific registration record (audit ready), fields that have not been collected in the past are blanked and must be filled out to continue if required

Security Note: Auto-fill happens server-side; sensitive fields like phone and birth date are masked in-browser until the user confirms the form.

4 — Enabling QuickPay in Three Steps

Step

Action

1 – Verify Data Template

Open Admin → Data Templates and ensure the correct fields are marked “Force Re-Collection.” Save.

2 – Toggle QuickPay on the Event

In Events → Edit, set Registration Flow to Customized Data Collection (select any Data Template with no extra work). QuickPay is automatically active for returning customers.

3 – Communicate the Perk

Add a note to your marketing emails: “Returning campers? Checkout now in under a minute with Firewood QuickPay.”

QuickPay is on by default for all v3 tenants—no feature flag needed.

5 — Best-Practice Tips

  • Flag change-prone fields – Insurance carrier, group number, medications, and emergency contacts should almost always be “Force Re-Collection.”

6 — Troubleshooting & FAQ

Question

Answer

Can customers opt out?

They can clear any pre-filled value; leaving the field blank obeys template requirements.

Does QuickPay work across multiple kids in one family?

Yes—profile data is scoped per camper, not per parent account.

What about GDPR/CCPA?

Users can request a profile purge; deleted data won’t auto-fill next time.
